Cairns Aquarium
Upon entering the Cairns Aquarium, visitors are transported into a world of vibrant colors, intricate coral formations, and mesmerizing marine life. The aquarium features a series of meticulously recreated habitats, ranging from the mangroves and rainforests of the region to the depths of the Coral Sea.
One of the highlights of the Cairns Aquarium is its expansive Great Barrier Reef exhibit, which provides a glimpse into the dazzling underwater realm that lies just offshore. Here, visitors can marvel at the kaleidoscopic array of coral species, from delicate branching corals to massive brain corals, and encounter an astonishing variety of marine creatures, including colorful reef fish, graceful rays, and majestic sharks.

In addition to its reef exhibits, the Cairns Aquarium offers a diverse range of displays and interactive experiences that showcase the unique ecosystems of Tropical North Queensland. Open daily including all public holidays from 9:30am – 3:30pm with last admission at 2:30pm

Located in Cairns City at 5 Florence St, (1 block from the Cairns Esplanade)
Fully accessible facility with elevators, ramps, accessible bathrooms and welcome accredited Guide/Service Dogs. Wheelchairs are available, please ask on arrival.
