The Tropical Innovation Festival is a week-long innovation festival with a difference… and while it may sound cliche to say that there is something for everyone – the “choose your own adventure” style program, it’s true! The dedicated networking events have contributed to last year’s attendees rating the event as 4.73/5 on average with 100% of survey respondents agreeing that they were glad they came.

The festival takes place at the Novotel Oasis Resort in Cairns, Queensland, featuring an exclusive innovation event on a dive boat at the Great Barrier Reef.

Celebrating the vibrant arts and cultural heritage of Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the 16th landmark edition of the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) will showcase an exciting First Nations program from Thursday, 10 July 2025, to Sunday, 13 July 2025.

Situated in the heart of Gimuy/Cairns’ botanical precinct and surrounded by the verdant rainforest, CIAF’s 2025 program, featuring primarily free and ticketed events, is brimming with highlights and involvement from some of Australia’s most eminent First Nations artists, and activists, that will transform Tanks Art Centre’s three repurposed World War II oil tanks into an inclusive and culturally immersive wonderland.

Comprising over 600 visual artists and 150 performers, CIAF’s 2025 program spans visual and performing arts, masterclasses, cultural demonstrations, talks, awards, fashion, food and more in events and activations that include Opening Night, Pay Attention! Art Fair Showcase, Artisans Showcase (formerly art market), Look & Listen Fashion Performances, Artist Talks, Mark Makers Talks Program, Guided Tours, Art Awards, Masterclasses, Cultural Demonstrations, Cultural Practices (dance) and Closing Ceremony.

Presented by World Expeditions, the 2025 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is a three-hour celebration of the mountain and adventure sports world. 

Sharing the most exhilarating short films from explorers, runners, mountain bikers, skiers, paddlers and climbers from around the globe. The tour is hot on the heels of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Festival, which takes place every November in the mountain town of Banff, in Canada.

More than 300 of the world’s best mountain sports, culture, environment, adventure, and exploration films are shown during the week-long event. A selection of award winners and audience favourites then tours the globe, visiting 390 communities and 35 countries as part of the festival’s official world tour.
